World Book has launched an updated product called World Book Student. This product will eventually replace the World Book Online Reference Center, the product designed for students in grades 5-9. World Book Student contains features not previously found in the World Book Online Reference Center, Students to save selected resouces in an individual account called "My Backpack." More than 10,000 biographies are featured in the Biography Center, which 4 unique search tools. A Research Tool section guides students through the process of conducting research.

EBSCOhost 2.0
In the summer of 2008, EBSCO launched a new interface for its "regular" (not specialized) products. Some of the products encompassed by this change are the Professional Development Collection and other products listed under "EBSCOhost Web". EBSCO is billing this interface as EBSCOhost 2.0. EBSCOhost 2.0 offers an updated look and feel with the built-in flexibility to provide individual user customization options.
